Edward S. Lameka (right), an American VIP guest invited to the Uhuru celebrations for campaigning for the release of Jomo Kenyatta, was deported from Kenya last night. Although invited for the December 12 festivities, Lameka remained in the country without a permit to continue anti-colonial campaigning. The deportation order was signed by Minister for Home Affairs Oginga Odinga after Lameka refused to leave voluntarily. October 24, 2025.
