Chama Cha Mwananchi chairman Koigi Wa Wamwere addressing Journalists in Nakuru on January 29, 2013, where he threatened to take the CORD coalition to court for claiming that his party is part of their alliance. He said that during the CORD coalition manifesto launch on Monday, Ababu Namwamba declared that CCM was part of the coalition and that it had helped draft the manifesto. He gave the coalition a seven-day ultimatum to retract and apologize or else meet in court.
