During a harambee in aid of the Boda Boda Sacco at Malava Market, Kakamega County, on April 16, 2016, Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula, Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, and MPs Chris Wamalwa and Ferdinand Wanyonyi called for the full implementation of the Waki Report. Wetangula said genuine reconciliation and healing must include victims and families affected by the post-election violence.
