Description

International Computers (EA) Ltd. recently announced an expanded programme which will make Nairobi the centre of computer training for the firm’s operations in Africa, excluding South Africa.
As part of this programme, soon to be housed in new premises at Bruce House, they are bringing out from the UK some of their most senior training staff. Until now the more advanced courses have only been available at the company’s training establishments in England, but in recognition of the importance of local training these specialists are to conduct courses also in East Africa.
This week Stan Sykes, principal lecturer in business administration at ICL’s Staff College at Windsor, has been in Nairobi conducting a one-week intensive business systems course (see above) for nine Kenyan staff of ICL East Africa. Mr. Sykes is a qualified accountant, a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, and a member of the British Institute of Management.
He expects to return to Nairobi again towards the end of the year to conduct a ?? business course.
