As part of this summit, the Nairobi Declaration, overseen by fifteen African ministers of tourism, emphasized the urgent need for vaccinations across the continent for frontline workers in the tourism sector as a first step in the recovery process following the Covid-19 Pandemic that disrupted tourism and aviation sectors. The declaration also called for the domestication of Africa and connectivity through budget airlines.
