Description

MR. Stefan Tolowinski, managing director of East African Cables Ltd., is leaving Nairobi for Britain on retirement. He is succeeded by the company’s financial director, Mr. Edmund. Linfoot, who becomes director and general manager.
The firm’s retiring head (right) and his successor are pictured in the Nairobi factory. Two top executives from the British parent firm, Enfield Cables Ltd Mr. J. E. Sunderland chairman and managing director, and Mr. D. J. Hastings overseas director attended a farewell reception for Mr. Tolowinski in Nairobi on Friday.
Mr. Sunderland presented Mr. Tolowinski – who joined the local company 20′ years ago — with a Zanzibar chest, a parting gift from the 130- staff.
