Six senior journalists from the UK and Ireland, together with a guest, enjoyed a welcome dinner hosted in their honour at the Ibis Grill, Norfolk Hotel. The journalists, representing the Sunday Express, Daily EA Press, BBC Radio’s Breakaway, Channel 4, TH; UK & Ireland Selling Longhaul, Next, Safari magazine and BBC Radio 4’s World Tonight, recently visited Kenya courtesy of British Airways, Safariworld and Lonrho Hotels. The press trip, organised by the three companies, aimed to promote Kenya as a tourist destination and encourage visitors from Europe. Their itinerary included visits to several Lonrho hotels across the country and concluded with a farewell dinner at the Mount Kenya Safari Club, joined by Dr. Richard Leakey on the River Likii.
