Description

The Zambian Vice-President, Mr. Reuben Kamanga, arrived in Nairobi yesterday for a ten-day private visit during which he will tour various development projects. Speaking to reporters at Nairobi Airport, he expressed disappointment at the British Government’s handling of the Rhodesian independence crisis, saying only the use of force would resolve the situation. Mr. Kamanga, who had just spent a week in Ethiopia, said he would call on President Jomo Kenyatta to deliver a personal message from President Kenneth Kaunda. Accompanied by his wife, he was met at the airport by the Minister of State in the President’s Office, Mr. Mbiyu Koinange, and the Zambian High Commissioner in East Africa, Mr. A.M. Simbule.
