During the session, the council performed a traditional blessing ceremony, endorsing Khalwale’s bid to unseat the incumbent Governor. Mzee Ondeko praised the Senator’s track record in oversight and his defense of the sugar industry, stating that the community felt their interests would be better protected under his leadership.
