December 23, 1991: Mr. Peter Oloo Aringo is sacked as Minister for Manpower Development and Employment. Mr. Aringo said that he was neither shocked nor surprised. He told reporters at Siaya that he would follow the party that his constituents recommend, “be it Kanu, the FORD or any other” Here, Vice President George Saitoti (left), chats with the Minister for Manpower Development and Employment, Mr. Oloo Aringo (center) while the Minister for Education, Mr. Joseph Kamotho looks on. The trio were among top, Kanu officials who had lined up to wait for the arrival of President Daniel Moi during a Kanu Parliamentary Group meeting.
